Request for volunteers at Exeter Central

ALRUG has been contacted by an organisation called Volunteering Matters who are looking for volunteers for a scheme called Journey Makers.

Briefly, Volunteering Matters has been tasked by the Department of Transport to find volunteers to help with reducing the spread of coronavirus in Devon – please see attached poster and on the website  https://volunteeringmatters.org.uk/project/journey-makers/ .  It isn’t too difficult as it is just reminding passengers to adhere to social distancing and face coverings.  The project has an imminent start date and is due to last for 6 weeks.

A pair of volunteers is needed per shift (though possibly one might do) at Newton Abbot and Exeter Central stations as follows:-

Mon-Fri 7.00am-10.00am

Mon-Fri 4.00pm-7.00pm

The exact start and finish time per shift are not written in stone which should make it a little easier.

If you’re interested please contact   AndrĂ© – 07376 521763 or jm19@volunteeringmatters.org.uk  mentioning that you heard about it from ALRUG.
